Hello! My name is Margie Brangers and I am your new Member Services Manager. I was fortunate to meet some of you in Little Rock. And, even more of you at the recent Summit in Cincinnati. MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT HICKCOX
The first 2023 FIA Board meeting is in the books!
Your new Board of Directors met on January 18th to:
*Focus on the FIA mission statement
*Recap the Little Rock AFA Convention and MarketPlace
*Listen to preliminary plans and anticipated registration deadlines for Atlantis Casino Resort - Reno 2023 (well done team Emily!)
*Review 2022 finances and roundtable the proposed new 2023 budget
*Dive into suggestions for FIA membership business and social activity possibilities in Reno or elsewhere
*Discuss some Goals:
FIA membership/MarketPlace exhibitor Drive
Supply house focus
Media campaign
Update logo/marketing
Create farrier school promo package

Important Dates to Remember:
March 13 - FIA MarketPlace registration packets will be mailed via USPS.
April 5 - MarketPlace registration opens for FIA members who were a 2022 AFA or FIA sponsor, or who are a 2023 early commitment sponsor, in the amount of $1,500 or greater for either year.
April 12 - FIA MarketPlace registration opens for all FIA members.
April 26 - FIA MarketPlace registration opens for anyone interested in exhibiting.
May 17 - FIA MarketPlace booth assignments will be released.
MarketPlace Dates: November 8 - 10, 2023
We want to fill that convention space this year, so if you have a lead on a prospective MarketPlace exhibitor, share their information with me and I will gladly follow-up. You can call/text me at (502) 779-1522 or by email.
Hall of Legends Nominations
Do you have a nominee for the 2023 class that you feel should be honored for his/her service to the industry and to our association? Nominees may be living or deceased.
Please be sure that your business agrees to this nomination and that only one nominee is submitted per business. All nominations are due to the FIA office by April 1, 2023.
